JOB SUMMARY:
The Community Planner position will provide environmental planning expertise to assist and lead in brownfield and contaminated site redevelopment activities.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

- Participate and/or lead planning activities related to redevelopment initiatives
- Collaborate with staff, agencies, clients, and other project collaborators to facilitate project submittals and schedules
- Oversee multiple brownfield planning projects simultaneously for public and private sector clients
- Work on sites with complex technical and regulatory issues
- Assist with environmental site assessments
- Lead community planning initiatives and public outreach and engagement
- Maintain regular and punctual attendance at work and meetings
- Support, actively participate, and act in accordance with Wright's and Eocene Environmental Group's culture of safety and employee ownership
- Comply with applicable federal, state, and local laws, rules, and regulations; maintains knowledge of and follows all company policies and procedures

- Position will require 10%-25% travel (dependent upon location)
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- B.S. degree (M.S. preferred) in environmental planning and/or a closely related discipline
- Minimum of 2 years' experience with community planning projects
- Familiarity with ESRI GIS applications (including desktop, ArcGIS, Collector, Survey123, etc.)
- Ability to perform work duties independently and efficiently with short deadlines
- Highly organized, motivated, thorough, accurate, dependable, and trustworthy
- Ability to interact and coordinate with state, federal, local, and tribal agencies
- Excellent note-taking ability
- Ability to read, write and speak English sufficient to perform job duties and to interact and communicate with employees and vendors
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
- AICP Certified
- Preferred 5 years' experience with community planning projects
- Experience working with or for federal, state, or local agencies is a plus
- Strong writing and editing skills
- Familiarity with typical utility operations and maintenance activities
- Excellent navigation skills and good driving record
