Overview
The Mechanical Engineer plays a key role in the design and development of Aurelia Turbines' products. This position is responsible for mechanical design, overseeing product structures, and preparing bills of materials to support procurement. The Mechanical Engineer also contributes to assembly instructions and provides hands-on support for both assembly and procurement activities.

Key Responsibilities
- Design detailed mechanical components—including castings, machined parts, and welded structures—using CAD tools.
- Model complex geometries and assemblies with a focus on manufacturability, performance, and reliability.
- Develop layouts and piping systems for mechanical installations in line with project specifications and safety standards.
- Evaluate and select materials based on mechanical properties, cost-effectiveness, and application requirements.
- Identify and source standard and custom components to optimize performance, durability, and cost efficiency.
- Define and assess manufacturing methods for sheet metal, steel structures, and additively manufactured parts.
- Collaborate with production teams to ensure designs align with manufacturing capabilities and timelines.
- Prepare clear installation instructions and technical documentation for internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Maintain accurate design records, bills of materials (BOMs), and revision histories.
- Conduct design reviews and risk assessments to proactively identify and resolve potential issues.
- Partner with electrical, structural, and manufacturing engineers to integrate systems and address technical challenges.
- Analyze existing designs and processes to drive cost reduction, improve performance, and enhance sustainability.
- Stay current on emerging technologies—including additive manufacturing and advanced materials—to incorporate innovative solutions.
