About
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented HR Generalist with strong HRIS administration experience to join our team. This role is responsible for managing biweekly payroll, administering employee benefits, maintaining accurate HR data, and serving as a primary point of contact for employees. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who identifies gaps in HR processes, recommends improvements, and ensures the HR function operates efficiently and compliantly.
Key Responsibilities
Payroll Administration
- Process biweekly payroll accurately and on time through Paylocity.
- Review and confirm employee timesheets, hours worked, and deductions.
- Ensure all payroll changes (new hires, terminations, pay rate changes, benefit deductions) are properly recorded.
- Download and reconcile payroll data for 401(k) contributions and transmit files to plan administrators.
- Coordinate with Accounting to ensure accurate financial reporting and general ledger entries.
Benefits Administration
- Serve as the main point of contact for employee benefit inquiries, including health, dental, vision, life, and retirement plans.
- Coordinate open enrollment, new hire enrollments, total compensation statements, and life event changes.
- Schedule and facilitate employee benefits meetings with vendors.
- Manage wellness and Health Improvement Fund programs, including tracking and allocating wellness dollars.
- Maintain and update the Employee Navigator benefits portal.
HRIS & Data Management
- Maintain and enhance the Paylocity HRIS, ensuring data accuracy, system optimization, and process efficiency.
- Set up and manage vacation/time-off tracking in Paylocity.
- Regularly audit employee records and ensure secure and compliant recordkeeping.
- Identify opportunities to automate HR processes and improve data reporting capabilities.
Employee Relations & Engagement
- Serve as the main HR point of contact for employee inquiries and issue resolution.
- Support onboarding and offboarding processes, ensuring a smooth and professional employee experience.
- Maintain the company internal communication tools and boards.
- Foster a positive workplace culture through consistent communication and engagement initiatives.
Compliance & Reporting
- Review and update the Employee Handbook annually, ensuring alignment with company policy and employment law.
- Research and coordinate compliance with federal and state training requirements.
- Support HR reporting needs and ensure all required filings and documentation are completed on time.
Qualifications
- At least 2 years of experience in payroll, benefits administration, or HR operations.
- Hands-on experience with Paylocity or similar HRIS/payroll systems.
- Solid understanding of payroll regulations, benefits administration, and HR compliance.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Experience using Microsoft Suite, especially Excel.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; able to build trust and rapport with employees at all levels.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and take initiative to identify and implement process improvements.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management, Business, or similar study is a plus.
- Experience with Employee Navigator or similar benefits platforms.
- Familiarity with 401(k) administration and wellness program management.
- HR certification (e.g., PHR, SHRM-CP) is a plus.

Pay: $60, $70,000.00 per year
