About

The Tim Hortons Shift Supervisor position is a hands-on, operational role centered around ensuring smooth shift operations, maintaining standards in people management, product quality, cleanliness, and delivering an exceptional guest experience. This includes:

People Management:

  • Leading by example, treating every team member and guest with respect.
  • Supporting recruitment and retention strategies with the Restaurant Manager.
  • Providing direct, ongoing guidance to team members, fostering a positive and motivating work environment.
  • Handling team performance feedback, monitoring, and training new members.
  • Ensuring optimal team coverage during busy periods and taking on various roles to ensure service levels are met.

Hospitality Management:

  • Prioritizing the guest experience, ensuring excellent hospitality is delivered consistently.
  • Addressing guest complaints swiftly and effectively, turning negative situations into positive experiences.
  • Supporting company-wide incentive programs.

Operations Management:

  • Ensuring compliance with applicable legislation and Tim Hortons operating standards.
  • Supervising product merchandising, cash handling, and shift documentation.
  • Managing shift operations through positioning charts and enforcing restaurant policies.
  • Keeping up with new company information via the Portal or Townhall meetings and escalating any operational issues to management.

Health & Safety:

  • Adhering to occupational health and safety legislation, ensuring all team members follow safe work practices.
  • Reporting any accidents, injuries, unsafe conditions, or contraventions of policies to management.
  • Ensuring health and safety procedures are followed, including the correct use of personal protective equipment and reporting of incidents.

The Shift Supervisor ensures a positive work environment, efficient operations, and an exceptional guest experience, contributing to the overall success of the restaurant.
