JOB SUMMARY
Under the supervision of the Donated Goods Manager, Donated Goods Manager in Training, or Donated Goods Assistant Manager, the Donated Goods Supervisor is responsible for maintaining activities to ensure maximum revenues and effectiveness. The Donated Goods Supervisor may be responsible for their location in the absence of the Donated Goods Manager or Donated Goods Assistant Manager.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Responsible for coaching, training, safety, monitoring daily use of POS and WMS systems, equipment, and supervision of all location personnel in accordance with Agency policies, procedures, and work instructions.
Responsible for ensuring a safe working environment. Instilling proper attitudes towards safety and ensuring work is performed in a safe manner. Constantly watches for and corrects unsafe conditions.
Assist in achieving daily sales and processing goals.
Assist in maintaining merchandising standards and merchandise rotation (i.e., pull schedule).
Sets example for all staff. Leads by example. Enforces the work schedule, break schedule and Agency policies in the absence of Management.
Demonstrate and promote superior customer service both internally and externally. Leads by example and expects the highest level of customer service from all employees. Handles employee/customer/donor complaints in a fair and impartial manner.
In the absence of Management, responsible for timely submission/updating of all required reports including daily/monthly sales recap, transportation needs, labor planner, safety, and personnel-related forms.
Ensure the effective and secure handling of all products, from the point of receipt through the process of warehousing and distribution to stores. Assist with cycle counts and inventory to ensure the DC remains within guidelines of error/shrink.
May assist the Warehouse Manager in overseeing, monitoring, and meeting salvage and recycling monthly revenue goals, including but not limited to, textiles, metal, cardboard, and electronic waste. Ensuring all recordkeeping is timely and accurate. Report emerging trends, issues and needs in an accurate and timely manner.
May perform opening/mid/closing functions as assigned. Accurately handle money involved in the store operations, including daily register balancing, banking, and change.
Work to reduce the possibility of pilferage and burglary.
Ability to train all entry level positions up to Supervisor positions.
Ability to perform and support as needed in all areas of operation.
Support the Agency's Work Services program and volunteer programs in accordance with Goodwill's Mission.
Travel needed for coverage of alternative locations, training, and reasonable suspicion process.
Regular attendance is required to perform essential functions of the job.
SECONDARY DUTIESPerforms other duties as assigned by Management.
Support in other store locations as assigned by Director of Donated Goods.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Education Required: High School Diploma or GED from an accredited school.
Experience Required: Two years' supervisory experience in retail sales or equivalent.
