Brief Description
Middleburg Communities is looking for an experienced Assistant Project Manager. Under the guidance of the Project Manager, the Assistant Project Manager facilitates the construction activities and contributes technical and on-site support to Project Managers, Superintendents, and the project team. The Assistant Project Manager participates in our Mission, lives by our Values, and promotes the Vision of Excellence.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • In accordance with company safety policies, local, state, and federal laws, enforce the company's safety program.
  • Providing document control, including electronic document management. This includes RFIs, submissions, sketches, and inspections, as well as notifications of updates.
  • Assist in managing the submittal process, including creating a submittal log, receiving submittals, conducting compliance reviews, and submitting, logging, and tracking submissions.
  • Manage the RFI process including the creation of RFIs, submission, logging, tracking, and distribution to the project team.
  • Ensure budget compliance with project managers through the management of the cost control system. Monthly cost estimates for all potential change orders, as well as subcontractor change orders.
  • Supporting the Project Manager and Superintendent in the coordination of documentation, permit tracking, inspection scheduling, and contact with subcontractors.
  • Assist in coordinating the close-out of the project, including the receipt and compilation of all documentation required by subcontractors.

Requirements
Knowledge and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in construction management, Engineering, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 2-3 years' experience in general contracting and construction is required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, Procore,
  • OSHA 30-hour First Aid and CPR certification.
  • The ability to effectively communicate in both written and verbal forms, Excellent organization and interpersonal skills, Trustworthy, and self-motivated personality traits.
  • Ability to assess and prioritize a variety of tasks, projects, and demands.
  • Ability to utilize the latest technology and software to accomplish assigned tasks.
