Overview

Improvix Technologies is seeking a high-impact Solutions Architect to lead complex software development, cloud, and infrastructure modernization initiatives across federal programs. This hybrid role blends hands-on project leadership, enterprise architecture, and strategic technical advisory, supporting mission-critical operations for federal customers.

You will oversee application development and DevOps teams while architecting modern, scalable infrastructure solutions across on-prem, cloud, hybrid, and data environments. This role requires a polished communicator who can translate complex technical concepts into executive-ready insights — and align delivery teams, stakeholders, and mission partners toward a unified technical vision.

If you thrive at the intersection of project execution, modernization strategy, and technical solutioning, Improvix wants to meet you.

Key Responsibilities

Program & Project Leadership

  1. Lead and manage multiple application development, DevOps projects using Agile and SAFe frameworks.
  2. Oversee full SDLC delivery — ensuring secure, timely, and high-quality releases.
  3. Facilitate sprint ceremonies (planning, standups, reviews, retrospectives) and maintain team momentum.
  4. Track performance metrics, milestones, and risks using Jira and other PM tools.
  5. Provide proactive project briefings, dashboards, and risk mitigation plans to government leadership.
  6. Support recruitment, onboarding, and retention of high-performing technical personnel.

Strategic Architecture & Customer Advisory

  1. Translate highly technical concepts into clear, business-focused language for executives and stakeholders.
  2. Develop technology roadmaps aligned with mission needs, enterprise goals, and emerging capabilities (AI, automation, cloud).
  3. Advise leadership on modernization priorities, risk posture, technical debt, and architecture decisions.
  4. Lead vendor and partner management to ensure quality delivery and alignment with program objectives.

Application, DevOps & Cross-Domain Integration

  1. Ensure infrastructure, platforms, and services seamlessly support modern application frameworks and CI/CD pipelines.
  2. Partner with development and DevOps teams to optimize automated testing, deployments, monitoring, and environment management.
  3. Drive continuous improvement across DevOps workflows and application modernization initiatives.
  4. Support VDI, collaboration platforms, and secure communication systems across mission environments.

Execution & Delivery Excellence

  1. Lead cross-functional technical teams to deliver high-impact modernization projects on schedule and within scope.
  2. Establish and enforce governance, standards, and best practices across programs.
  3. Drive measurable outcomes — improved performance, enhanced security, cost savings, and mission enablement.
