Job Summary: A Fire Extinguisher Apprentice will train with a licensed fire extinguisher technician to inspect, install, and service fire extinguishers and emergency lighting while identifying sales opportunities, maintaining detailed records, and working independently with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Train along side a license Fire Extinguisher Technician 
  • Inspect, install, and service portable fire extinguishers 
  • Emergency / Exit lighting inspection and repairs 
  • Seek out additional sales & service opportunities within existing customer locations 
Qualifications

What We Are Looking For: 

  • High School Diploma/ GED
  • Valid Drivers License with clean driving record
  • Ability to pass a drug screen & background check
  • Strong work ethic, professional attitude and hard working
  • Work efficiently with minimal supervision 
  • Complete detailed paperwork in a timely/consistent manner 
  • Maintain vehicle in clean and orderly fashion. Keep vehicle stocked with parts, equipment, and supplies, necessary to perform the job. 
  • Ability to use iPad & common knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook/Word/Excel) 

Physical Requirements:

  • While performing the essential functions of this job the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands or arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, and is occasionally required to lift and/or move heavy objects.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Comfortable working in various environments, including industrial facilities, commercial buildings, and outdoor settings, which can potentially expose employees to noise, dust, heat stress, thermal stress, low light conditions, heights, etc.
  • Capable of standing, walking, bending, and kneeling for extended periods.
  • Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces as needed, which would require use of fall protection equipment and other safety devices
  • Capable of using hand and power tools, including specialty tools resulting in cutting, grinding, drilling, fastening and other methods resulting in torque, vibration, noise, etc.
