Duties

• Greet customers warmly and provide outstanding customer service to ensure a positive shopping experience
• Assist customers in locating products and answer questions about merchandise, features, and benefits
• Conduct product demonstrations to showcase key features and enhance customer understanding
• Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system accurately for transactions including sales, returns, and exchanges
• Handle cash transactions with precision, ensuring proper cash handling and cashiering procedures
• Upsell complementary products to maximize sales opportunities while meeting customer needs
• Maintain attractive merchandise displays through effective merchandising and regular stocking
• Manage inventory levels by restocking shelves and organizing back stock efficiently
• Use strong communication skills to inform customers about promotions, loyalty programs, and store policies
• Follow phone etiquette standards when answering inquiries or assisting customers remotely
• Support team supervision by guiding new staff or trainees when needed
• Assist with grocery store operations if applicable, including basic math for pricing and checkout processes

Experience

• Previous retail sales experience is preferred but not required; enthusiasm for customer service is essential
• Experience with POS systems and cashiering procedures is advantageous
• Supervising experience in a retail environment is a plus, demonstrating leadership capabilities
• Bilingual abilities are highly valued to serve diverse customer bases effectively
• Familiarity with merchandising, stocking, and inventory management enhances your suitability for this role
• Strong communication skills combined with excellent phone etiquette will help you excel in engaging customers both in person and over the phone
• Basic math skills are necessary for accurate cash handling, pricing calculations, and retail math tasks
• Experience working in grocery stores or similar retail environments will be beneficial
