We are seeking a meticulous Inventory Control Specialist to join our team in Boise, Idaho. In this crucial role, you will be responsible for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our warehouse inventory. Your duties will include conducting cycle counts, reconciling discrepancies, managing stock levels, and implementing inventory control procedures. This position requires a strong analytical mindset, exceptional attention to detail, and a thorough understanding of warehouse operations and logistics. You will play a key part in ensuring that our inventory data is precise, which is vital for efficient order fulfillment and overall supply chain management. A commitment to safety and process improvement is essential.
Responsibilities:
- Perform regular cycle counts and physical inventories to ensure inventory accuracy.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies by analyzing data and conducting root cause analysis.
- Maintain accurate inventory records in the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Implement and enforce inventory control procedures and policies.
- Monitor stock levels and report on slow-moving or obsolete inventory.
- Assist in the receiving and put-away process to ensure items are accurately recorded and stored.
- Coordinate with operations and logistics teams to ensure timely stock replenishment and order fulfillment.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement in inventory management.
- Ensure a safe working environment by following all Safety guidelines and proper use of PPE.
- Train other staff members on inventory control procedures as needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate's degree in supply chain, logistics, or a related field is a plus.
- Proven experience in inventory control or warehouse management.
- Proficiency with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and inventory software.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to perform tasks that may involve some moderate Lifting (up to 25 lbs).
- Knowledge of inventory control best practices and logistics principles.
- Commitment to Safety and the correct use of PPE.
- Good organizational and time management skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
