Responsibilities:
- Safely and efficiently move materials using forklifts, pallet jacks, and other equipment.
- Receive, inspect, and store incoming raw materials and finished goods.
- Transport materials to production lines or shipping areas as needed.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and perform regular cycle counts.
- Ensure materials are properly labeled and organized within the warehouse.
- Adhere to all safety regulations, including the correct use of PPE and safe lifting practices.
- Operate and maintain material handling equipment in good working condition.
- Assist in loading and unloading trucks.
- Contribute to maintaining a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.
- Understand and implement all logistics procedures for material flow.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Material Handler or in a similar role is highly desirable.
- Certification or experience operating forklifts and other heavy equipment.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting, up to 70 lbs.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety procedures and the importance of PPE.
- Strong organizational and inventory management skills.
- Ability to work in a physically demanding environment.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- A keen understanding of logistics principles and efficient material handling.
- Commitment to safety and a proactive approach to hazard mitigation.
Work Environment:
This position is based in a busy warehouse setting with exposure to varying temperatures and noise levels. Significant physical exertion, including regular lifting, is expected.
