Job Summary:
Our Baltimore, Maryland facility is looking for a meticulous Inventory Control Specialist to join our logistics team. This role is fundamental to ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our warehouse inventory, directly impacting our operational efficiency and customer satisfaction. You will be responsible for monitoring stock levels, conducting cycle counts, reconciling discrepancies, and maintaining precise inventory records using our Warehouse Management System (WMS). The ideal candidate possesses strong analytical skills, exceptional attention to detail, and a solid understanding of logistics principles. You will work collaboratively with various departments to resolve inventory issues and optimize stock flow. Safety is a core value; adherence to all safety regulations, including the consistent use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), is mandatory. While the role is primarily administrative and analytical, occasional lifting may be required to access or verify stock. Responsibilities:
  • Perform regular cycle counts and physical inventories to ensure stock accuracy.
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies between physical counts and system records.
  • Maintain accurate inventory data within the WMS.
  • Monitor inventory levels and report on stock status, identifying potential shortages or overages.
  • Implement and refine inventory control procedures to minimize errors and loss.
  • Assist in the investigation of inventory variances and recommend corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with warehouse and logistics teams to ensure efficient stock rotation and put-away.
  • Ensure proper handling and storage of all inventory items to prevent damage.
  • Adhere to all safety guidelines, including the mandatory use of PPE, and promote a safe working culture.
  • Perform occasional lifting of inventory items for verification purposes.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience in inventory control, warehouse management, or a related logistics role.
  • Proficiency with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and inventory tracking software.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Understanding of inventory control best practices and logistics operations.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Knowledge of and commitment to workplace safety, including the use of PPE.
