Sales Engineer (Senior Systems & AI Architecture)

We are hiring a Sales Engineer to partner directly with our sales team during the pre-sales process and lead technical discovery for complex software projects. This role is focused on guiding clients through architecture decisions, technical feasibility, and best practice system design across traditional coding and modern AI driven solutions.
You will act as the technical authority on sales calls, helping clients shape the right technology stack, system architecture, data models, and integration strategy before a project begins. This is a highly client facing role that requires both deep technical expertise and strong communication skills.
What You Will Do
Lead technical discovery calls alongside sales and act as the primary technical voice in pre sales conversations
Design and explain detailed system architectures including data models, services, integrations, and scalability considerations
Advise clients on optimal tech stacks including React, React Native, Flutter, Python, AWS, Supabase, Firebase, Azure, and related tooling.
Answer complex questions around integrations, system constraints, security, performance, and delivery tradeoffs
Explain AI concepts clearly to non technical and technical stakeholders including RAG systems, AI workflows, automation strategies, and implementation best practices
Provide technical guidance on rebuilds, takeovers, and net new platform builds
Support mid to large size deals in the high five to multiple six figure range
Collaborate with internal engineering and delivery teams to ensure proposed architectures are realistic and scalable
Operate independently from day one with minimal oversight
Strong experience in system architecture and detailed system design, not just high level diagrams
Hands on experience designing data models and integration heavy platforms
Background working with traditional coding stacks and cloud infrastructure
Practical understanding of AI systems including how they are architected and deployed in real world products
Proven ability to lead technical conversations with clients and ask structured, thoughtful discovery questions
Confident, personable communicator who can build trust quickly with founders, CTOs, and technical stakeholders
Comfortable working on complex pre sales engagements and influencing deal outcomes
Experience designing and explaining complex software architectures to clients
Strong familiarity with modern frontend, backend, and cloud stacks
Client facing experience in a pre sales, solutions engineering, or architecture role
Ability to operate independently and lead technical discovery calls
Experience working on rebuilds or taking over existing codebases
Exposure to large scale integrations and enterprise systems
Experience supporting six figure plus software deals
