Developer Experience (DevX) is responsible for making sure all engineers at Coinbase build high-quality products while being productive and engaged. We do this by providing infrastructure, libraries, frameworks, and tooling to make it easier and faster to build high quality applications.Within Developer Experience, we organize into pods that focus on different specializations. The CI pod builds and operates state-of-the-art version control and continuous integration infrastructure for our engineers. We manage one of the largest k8s clusters at Coinbase and have built a custom controller to manage our workload efficiently. We are making a bold strategic move to migrate our source code into the cloud. What youll be doing (i.e. job duties): Build, improve, and operate backend developer productivity infrastructure services and systems.
Design scalable, fault-tolerant solutions to novel problems with modern cloud technology and industry best practices.
Work with engineers and leadership to turn our product and technical vision into a tangible roadmap every quarter.
Provide stellar customer support to our internal engineers .
What we look for in you: You have at least 5+ years of experience in software engineering.
Youve designed, built, scaled, and operated large scale, high throughput infrastructure.
You write high-quality, well-tested code to meet the needs of your customers.
Strong problem solving skills and ability to identify problems, determine their root cause, and see them through to solution.
Nice to Haves: Golang, Ruby, AWS
Prior experience with building on and operating GitHub/GitHub Actions

Depending on your work location, the target annual salary for this position can range as detailed below. Full time offers from Coinbase also include target bonus + target equity + benefits (including medical, dental, vision and 401(k)).
