About
The Pack System Operator is responsible for the accurate palletizing of finished products, ensuring all product information—such as item, case quantity, lot number, and expiration date—is correctly validated and documented. This role is essential to maintaining product traceability, quality, and compliance with company and regulatory standards Responsibilities
• Adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), and Safety Regulations.
• Verify the accuracy of the palletizing process, including item type, number of cases, lot numbers, and expiration dates.
• Ensure proper traceability of finished products by accurately recording and validating product information.
• Operate the palletizer system safely and efficiently, following all safety protocols and procedures.
• Ensure proper handling and delivery of palletized finished products to the warehouse area.
• Perform regular checks to ensure the palletizing equipment is functioning properly and report any issues immediately.
• Collaborate with production and warehouse teams to ensure seamless workflow and timely product movement.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in the palletizing area. Essential Duties Production & Quality Control
• Verify the accuracy of palletizing activities, including item, case count, lot number, and expiration date.
• Ensure traceability by recording and validating key product information.
• Perform end-of-shift reconciliation of finished product: compare produced vs. delivered quantities.
• Operate the palletizer system safely and efficiently.
• Monitor case packing processes and adjust machinery to match production needs.
• Conduct visual inspections to identify packaging or labeling defects. Machine Operation & Troubleshooting
• Operate and adjust palletizer system to meet production standards.
• Perform routine equipment checks; report and/or assist in resolving issues to minimize downtime. Safety & Compliance
• Follow all GMP, SOP, and safety regulations.
• Wear required PPE, including hairnets, beard covers, masks, and appropriate clothing.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized palletizing work area. Documentation & Reporting
• Maintain accurate records of production output, downtime, and quality checks.
• Communicate any discrepancies, equipment issues, or safety concerns to the supervisor. Team Collaboration
• Coordinate with production and warehouse teams to ensure smooth product flow.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and maintenance teams to address issues promptly.
High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training or certification in food production is a plus.
• Proven experience in a similar production or packaging role preferred.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Familiarity with food safety standards and quality control procedures.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures accurately.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment.
• Flexibility to work various shifts and overtime as needed.
