About


The Senior Software Engineer leads the design, development, and delivery of high-quality, scalable, and secure cloud-based healthcare SaaS applications. This role is responsible for driving technical innovation, mentoring junior engineers, and ensuring best practices across teams. The Senior Software Engineer collaborates with cross-functional groups to deliver AI-enhanced solutions aligned with clinical workflows and regulatory standards, leveraging the latest full stack technologies and cloud services within a continuous integration/continuous delivery environment. 


Key Responsibilities: 


Full-Stack Development & Cloud Engineering 


  • Lead the design and implementation of complex features using C#, .NET, JavaScript/TypeScript, Angular, SQL Server, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure). 

  • Apply modern programming concepts: asynchronous programming, dependency injection, middleware, hosted services. 

  • Architect and implement microservices, containers, CI/CD pipelines, and pub-sub patterns. 

  • Leverage existing frameworks, platforms, and patterns to accelerate time to market. 

  • Promote and ensure standards and framework compliance across the development team. 

  • Provide internal development support, delivering fast and high-quality fixes to urgent production issues. 

  • Participate in and lead code reviews, providing guidance to Development and QA team members. 

AI/ML Integration 


  • Support and drive the development of AI-driven features such as predictive analytics and clinical decision support. 

  • Apply prompt engineering and work with large language models (LLMs) such as OpenAI, Anthropic, or open-source alternatives. 
  • Utilize Python, TensorFlow, or PyTorch as needed. 

  • Learn, understand, and leverage cutting-edge technologies, including the latest AI models, to gain competitive advantage. 

Healthcare Compliance & Interoperability 


  • Ensure solutions adhere to HIPAA, HL7, FHIR, and secure coding practices. 

  • Build interoperable systems that integrate with EHRs and other healthcare platforms. 

Agile Development & Collaboration 


  • Lead and participate in agile ceremonies, including daily stand-ups, estimations, and backlog grooming and reviews. 

  • Work closely with Product Management and other functional teams to evaluate, develop, and maintain product features for Provation products. 

  • Develop product expertise, technical mastery, and support team members by sharing knowledge. 

  • Own and deliver individual and shared team commitments on time. 

  • Foster strong communication and teamwork across product, QA, and clinical teams. 

  • Leverage AI tools for software development and encourage their adoption within the team. 

  • Actively create opportunities for code/component re-use. 

Problem Solving & Continuous Learning 


  • Demonstrate analytical thinking and adaptability to evolving technologies. 

  • Commit to continuous improvement and staying current with industry trends. 

  • Proactively research industry trends and best practices, applying them as necessary.

Mentorship & Technical Leadership 


  • Mentor, coach, and guide junior engineers and peers. 
  • Contribute technical input for sprint planning and backlog prioritization. 

  • Drive technical decision-making and architectural discussions. 

  • Champion a culture of quality, innovation, and continuous learning. 

Education & Experience 


  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field. 

  • 5+ years of experience in software development, preferably in healthcare SaaS.  

Other Preferred Knowledge, Skills, Abilities or Certifications: 


  • Experience with app service monitoring tools (e.g., Application Insights). 

  • Experience with AI/ML technologies and cloud-native architecture. 

  • Certifications in cloud platforms (Azure preferred; AWS or GCP a plus). 

  • Familiarity with healthcare data standards and clinical informatics. 

  • Experience with regulatory quality reporting is a plus.
