Plumber/Installer

Key Responsibilities:

• Installation: Laying pipes, assembling fittings, installing fixtures, appliances, drains, and water supply systems.
• Repair & Maintenance: Fixing leaks, clearing obstructions, replacing parts (valves, faucets, pipes), and performing preventative maintenance on various systems.
• Code Compliance: Ensuring all plumbing work adheres to local building codes and safety standards.
• Material Management: Selecting, measuring, cutting, threading, and assembling pipes and components.
• Troubleshooting: Identifying issues in systems (clogs, leaks, failures) and diagnosing solutions.
• Client Service: Maintaining a clean work area, protecting client property, and providing clear communication.

Essential Skills & Tools:

• Skills: Manual dexterity, problem-solving, attention to detail, physical stamina, knowledge of plumbing principles.
• Tools: Wrenches, snakes, cameras, saws, pipe threaders, hand tools, diagnostic equipment.

Work Environment:

• Can involve working in new constructions, remodels, or existing buildings, often requiring standing, crouching, and lifting heavy items.
• May involve on-call duties for emergencies and working full-time hours, potentially including nights/weekends.
