Job Title: Maintenance Technician
Reports To: Regional Manager, Property Manager, and Assistant Manager
Position Objective
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the day-to-day maintenance and operational integrity of the property. This role ensures the property remains in excellent condition by performing repairs and preventative maintenance on buildings and grounds. The technician will work both independently and as part of a team. As a primary point of contact for residents regarding repair needs, the technician must provide exceptional customer service and maintain a high level of professionalism at all times.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Prepare or assist in preparing all market-ready apartments, including painting, carpet cleaning, general repairs, and cleaning.
- Perform a variety of maintenance tasks, including electrical, plumbing, carpentry, masonry, roofing, and painting.
- Maintain knowledge of property HVAC systems and perform required maintenance.
- Complete grounds work such as trash pick-up, sweeping, landscaping, and snow removal.
- Perform on-call emergency maintenance duties as required.
- Complete tasks within the preventative maintenance program.
- Respond promptly and professionally to resident service requests and concerns.
- Maintain pools as required.
- Perform special projects as assigned by the Property Manager.
