About
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Community Support Worker (CCSS Worker) to join our Mental Health & Substance Abuse Intensive Outpatient Program. The CSW provides recovery-oriented, strengths-based support to individuals living with mental health and substance use disorders. This position focuses on skill-building, community resource navigation, and supporting clients in achieving stability and independence.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver Comprehensive Community Support Services (CCSS) to adults enrolled in the IOP program in accordance with New Mexico BHSD and Medicaid standards.
- Provide individualized skill-building, including coping skills, daily living activities, emotional regulation, and social skills.
- Assist clients in accessing community resources such as housing, medical care, employment services, benefits, education, and transportation.
- Support clients in navigating the behavioral health system and maintaining engagement in treatment.
- Work collaboratively with therapists, care coordinators, and IOP staff to reinforce treatment goals.
- Promote harm-reduction and relapse-prevention approaches.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation and progress notes that meet all CCSS and Medicaid compliance requirements.
- Participate in team meetings, case consultations, and ongoing training.
- Provide crisis support within the scope of CCSS and connect clients to clinical or emergency services when needed.
- Uphold confidentiality, dignity, and ethical standards in all client interactions.
Required Qualifications
- Current and active CCSS Certification (Community Support Worker Certification) recognized by the New Mexico Behavioral Health Services Division.
- High school diploma or GED (higher education preferred).
- Valid New Mexico driver's license, reliable transportation, and proof of insurance.
- Ability to pass background checks and any state-required clearances.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently in community settings as well as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Pay: From $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
