JOB DESCRIPTION
Position Title: Quality Assurance Inspector (A & B Shift)
Reports To: Quality Assurance Asst. Manager
Department: Quality
Position Status: Non-Exempt
Essential Responsibility:
• This position is responsible for performing routine in-process and final inspection on production parts
List of Key Tasks / Primary Responsibilities:
• Understands and Applies Policies and Procedures by following safety rules, wearing proper PPE, and attending departmental safety meetings; by understanding manufacturing operations, and where inspection sampling occurs at each step; by understanding procedures and equipment for routine in-process and final inspection; by understanding principles of SPC and charting; by supporting and maintaining the company's Quality Standard and Quality Policy; and by understanding principles of 5-S, and practicing good housekeeping.
• Performs Inspections by properly approving conforming material, and reporting non-conforming material to Supervisor or Asst. Manager; by ensuring that Nisshinbo is producing parts that meet or exceed customer expectations; and by performing additional duties as assigned by Supervisor or Asst. Manager.
• Documents and Maintains Records of Results by properly documenting results, entering data, and generating charts; and by maintaining records in appropriate files.
Education /Certifications & Experience:
• High School diploma or equivalent and 1 year of previous inspection experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Required Skills and Knowledge:
• Manages Time and Resources by using tools provided by the Company in order to maximize productivity and to accomplish tasks on time.
• Keeps Management Informed by participating in meetings; and by reporting problems to Management verbally or in writing in order to avoid confusion and further problems.
• Performs Other Duties As assigned by manager, supervisor, or team leader.

• Upholds Standards of Quality, Cost, and Safety by following the Company's standards and guidelines for maintaining quality, cost, and safety; by taking initiative to make these points top priority at the Company; by immediately reporting any conditions that do not uphold the standards of quality, cost, and safety to the Supervisor or Management; and by making suggestions for necessary improvements to uphold these standards as necessary.

Physical Demands / Work Environment:
• Ability to stand, sit, or walk, in office or field duties;
• A full range of motion to see, hear, touch, and to observe documents at the office or materials on the field;
• Ordinary vision and hearing for communication and observation;
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Experience / Qualification: Language Skills
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business documents, forms and instructions in English.
• Ability to write reports and business correspondence in English.
• Ability to effectively respond to questions in English.
• Ability to communicate verbally and in writing to others in English.
Mathematical Skills
• Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
• Ability to apply concepts of basic math and to interpret graphs.
Reasoning Skills
• Ability to apply knowledge and sense of understanding to carry-out detailed written or oral instructions.
• Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
• Ability to analyze and use various documents (contracts, purchase orders, etc.).
Computer Skills
• Ability to use a computer as necessary.
Other Skills
• Must be tactful, mature, flexible and able to successfully respond to multiple work pressures.
• Must be able to understand SPC fundamentals.
