Overview
Worcester Cosmetic and Restorative Dentistry is seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care while ensuring the smooth operation of our dental office. This position requires a strong understanding of dental terminology and procedures, as well as the ability to assist in various dental specialties, including pediatric dentistry and endodontics.

Dental Assistant Daily Responsibilities

  • Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring a comfortable environment for patients.
  • Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment following aseptic techniques.
  • Take and develop medical imaging, including X-rays, to support diagnosis and treatment planning.
  • Utilize four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency during procedures.
  • Maintain accurate patient records using Dentrix software and ensure all documentation is up-to-date.
  • Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
  • Manage front office tasks as needed, including scheduling appointments and handling patient inquiries.
  • Operate 3D scanners for advanced imaging when required.

Dental Assistant Job Qualifications

  • Proficiency in assisting with various dental procedures and understanding of dental terminology.
  • Knowledge of medical imaging techniques and equipment is essential.
  • Familiarity with four-handed dentistry practices to optimize workflow during procedures.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for maintaining patient records accurately in Eaglesoft
  • Understanding of aseptic techniques to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.
  • Ability to make temporary crowns and learn new dental software such as digital scanning, 3D printing, digital photography
