Responsibilities
- Assist with the preparation of construction sites by clearing debris, setting up scaffolding, and organizing materials
- Carry out physical tasks such as digging trenches, mixing concrete, and loading/unloading supplies
- Support skilled tradespeople by handing tools and materials efficiently and safely
- Follow safety protocols diligently to maintain a secure work environment for everyone on site
- Operate basic construction equipment under supervision, including forklifts or power tools when trained
- Help with site cleanup and ensuring all work areas are tidy and hazard-free at the end of each shift
- Participate in safety meetings and report any hazards or incidents immediately to supervisors
Skills
- Physical stamina and strength to perform demanding manual labor throughout the workday
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Basic understanding of construction safety procedures and practices
- Willingness to learn new skills and operate various tools and equipment responsibly
