ASRC Federal Mission Solutions is a premier provider of systems engineering, software engineering, system integration, and project management services for real-time, mission-critical defense systems. We are currently seeking a highly motivated Project Manager in Moorestown, NJ.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for technical, cost, and schedule performance of multiple Aegis/BMD/USN technical projects in accordance with contract requirements
- Working within and supporting a Project Team, provide project direction to a matrixed team of personnel from all disciplines including software and test engineering, quality assurance, configuration management, data management and finance
- Assist with the coordination and development of proposals utilizing company proprietary tools and processes
- Work collaboratively with contracts and finance to negotiate proposal value and scope with the customer
- Collaborate across the organization supporting finance and functional activities to establish budgets and performance plan for project execution
- Support the creation and presentation of project execution status to internal leadership and external customers
- Ensure timely completion of project tasks within budget utilizing appropriate scheduling and changing control processes
- Support creation and tracking of Estimates to Complete (ETC) and Comprehensive Estimate at Complete (CEAC) analysis
- Support Perform Risk & Opportunity Management and Change Management across efforts
- Bachelor's Degree in a technical or business-related discipline
- This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a government clearance, U.S. Citizenship is required
- This position requires the successful applicant to obtain and maintain the required security clearance or other authorization(s) within the necessary timeframe required by applicable contract(s)
- 2-4 years of experience working on software projects entailing the development of tactical real-time mission critical software for the Department of Defense, preferably for the USN (SSDS Program a bonus)
- Strong leadership skills
- Experience supporting proposal and negotiation efforts across different contract types including Cost Plus (Incentive Fee, Award Fee and Fixed Fee), Time & Material (T&M), and Firm Fixed Price (FFP) contracts
- Experience in key aspects of project management, including technical, financial, customer and organizational communication
- Possess versatile and persuasive written and presentation communication skills
- Experience with or knowledge of current Software development methodologies and practices
- Experience with Earned Value (EVMS) methodologies and CMMI Level 5 life cycle process and procedures, and Software Development Life Cycles (SDLC) methodologies are desired
