Overview
We are seeking a motivated and eager Apprentice Mechanic to join our team. This entry-level position offers hands-on experience in mechanical repair and maintenance, providing a valuable foundation for a career in the automotive or industrial repair industry. The Apprentice Mechanic will work closely with experienced technicians to develop essential skills, gain practical knowledge, and contribute to the efficient operation of our equipment and machinery.
Duties
- Assist senior mechanics with diagnosing and repairing various mechanical issues on vehicles or industrial equipment
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, and fluid checks under supervision
- Learn to use diagnostic tools and repair equipment accurately and safely
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment to ensure safety and efficiency
- Support inventory management by organizing parts and tools needed for repairs
- Follow safety protocols and procedures at all times during work activities
- Participate in training sessions to enhance technical skills and industry knowledge
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or coursework in mechanics is a plus but not required
- Strong interest in mechanical systems, repair techniques, and hands-on work
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Ability to follow instructions carefully and work effectively as part of a team
- Good communication skills and willingness to learn new skills
- Basic understanding of safety procedures related to mechanical work environments
- Prior experience is not necessary; training will be provided on-site for all tasks involved
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $18.00-$25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
