Line Cook/Prep Cook

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our dynamic culinary team. This role is essential in ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen by preparing high-quality dishes and supporting the overall food service process. The ideal candidate will have a passion for cooking, food safety, and delivering excellent customer service in a fast-paced restaurant environment.

Duties

• Prepare ingredients and assist in meal preparation according to recipes and standards
• Cook menu items with consistency, quality, and efficiency
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, including food prep areas and cooking equipment
• Follow food safety protocols and proper handling procedures to ensure hygiene standards are met
• Assist with plating and presentation of dishes for service
• Support the kitchen team during busy periods, including serving orders promptly and accurately
• Restock supplies and ingredients as needed to ensure smooth kitchen operations
• Adhere to all health regulations and safety guidelines to maintain a safe working environment

Experience

• Previous experience in food preparation, cooking, or food service is preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate
• Experience working in a restaurant or food industry setting is advantageous
• Knowledge of food handling, safety standards, and kitchen operations is beneficial
• Familiarity with meal preparation techniques and food presentation skills is a plus
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail and quality standards

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent, Casual

Pay: $17.20-$18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 12 – 35 per week
