Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Receive, unload, inspect, and store incoming materials.
- Transport materials to and from production, storage, and shipping areas.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and conduct regular cycle counts.
- Ensure materials are properly labeled, organized, and accessible.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the correct use of PPE.
- Perform routine checks and basic maintenance on material handling equipment.
- Assist with loading and unloading trucks.
- Contribute to maintaining a clean, orderly, and safe warehouse environment.
- Follow all logistics procedures for efficient material movement.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Material Handler or with similar equipment operation is required.
- Valid forklift certification or equivalent experience.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting, up to 70 lbs.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety procedures and the critical importance of PPE.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a physically demanding environment.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- A solid understanding of logistics and supply chain operations.
- Commitment to safety and a proactive stance on hazard identification.
Work Environment:
This position is situated in a busy warehouse setting, which may involve exposure to varying temperatures and noise levels. Significant physical exertion, including frequent lifting, is required.
