As a Material Handler, you will be responsible for operating various equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks, to transport, store, and retrieve materials. You will play a critical role in our logistics chain, ensuring that inventory is managed effectively and that production or shipping needs are met promptly. We emphasize a strong commitment to safety and provide all necessary PPE and thorough training on equipment operation and warehouse procedures. This role requires physical dexterity, the ability to perform significant Lifting , and a keen eye for detail to prevent errors and maintain inventory accuracy. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload materials from trucks and storage areas.
- Transport materials to designated locations within the warehouse.
- Conduct routine checks on equipment to ensure proper working order.
- Maintain accurate inventory records through scanning and data entry.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and protocols, including wearing required PPE .
- Assist with inventory management and cycle counts.
- Support shipping and receiving operations as needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid forklift certification or equivalent experience.
- Proven experience as a Material Handler or in a similar role.
- Ability to perform heavy Lifting (up to 60 lbs).
- Strong understanding of warehouse logistics and inventory control.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to safety .
- Must be able to work flexible hours and overtime as needed.
