About
We are hiring an Order Picker for our distribution center in Fort Worth, Texas. In this critical role, you will be responsible for accurately and efficiently selecting items from our warehouse shelves to fulfill customer orders. Your attention to detail and speed will directly impact our logistics operations and customer satisfaction. You will work with a dedicated team in a dynamic warehouse environment, utilizing technology and equipment to streamline the picking process. Safety is our top priority, and comprehensive training on proper lifting techniques, equipment operation, and the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) will be provided. Responsibilities:
- Read order pick tickets or use a handheld scanner to locate and select specified items.
- Verify the accuracy of picked items against order requirements.
- Transport picked items to the packing or staging area using appropriate equipment.
- Ensure picked items are handled with care to prevent damage.
- Maintain an organized and clean work area.
- Adhere to all warehouse Safety rules and regulations.
- Participate in inventory counts and stock rotation as needed.
- Operate pallet jacks and other warehouse equipment safely.
- Follow all company procedures related to order picking and Logistics.
- Demonstrate proper Lifting techniques and use of PPE at all times.
- Meet or exceed established productivity and accuracy goals.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as an order picker or in a similar warehouse role is beneficial.
- Ability to read and interpret pick lists and labels.
- Proficiency with handheld scanners and warehouse management systems is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods.
- Must be able to perform frequent Lifting (up to 50 lbs).
- Familiarity with warehouse Safety practices and the use of PPE.
- Good communication and teamwork abilities.
- Understanding of basic Logistics principles.
