About
Seeking a detail-oriented Inventory Control Specialist in Cincinnati, Ohio, to manage and maintain the accuracy of our warehouse inventory. This critical role ensures that our logistics operations run smoothly by tracking stock levels, performing regular audits, and identifying discrepancies. You will be responsible for implementing and improving inventory control procedures to minimize loss and optimize stock rotation. This position requires a sharp mind for numbers, a strong understanding of warehouse management systems, and a commitment to upholding high standards of accuracy. The role involves interacting with various departments to resolve inventory-related issues and supporting efficient supply chain management. A focus on safety is paramount, and all team members are expected to follow established protocols, including the correct use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). While not as physically demanding as some warehouse roles, there will be occasional lifting involved. Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventories to ensure data accuracy.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies promptly.
- Maintain accurate inventory records using WMS software.
- Develop and implement procedures to improve inventory accuracy and efficiency.
- Monitor stock levels and reorder points to prevent stockouts and overstocking.
- Track and report on inventory shrinkage and provide insights for reduction.
- Ensure proper storage and handling of all inventory items.
- Collaborate with operations and logistics teams to optimize inventory flow.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines, including the use of PPE, and promote a safe work environment.
- Occasional lifting and movement of inventory may be required.
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree in a related field is a plus.
- Proven experience in inventory control or warehouse management.
- Proficiency with warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory software.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Familiarity with logistics and supply chain principles.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Understanding of safety procedures and the importance of PPE.
