Join our expanding logistics network as a Warehouse Coordinator in Omaha, Nebraska. This pivotal role demands a proactive individual who can effectively manage and streamline warehouse operations to ensure maximum efficiency and accuracy. You will be responsible for supervising daily activities, coordinating inventory management, overseeing shipping and receiving processes, and collaborating with other departments to meet operational goals. The ideal candidate possesses excellent organizational skills, a problem-solving mindset, and a commitment to safety. This position requires you to ensure all team members are trained on proper procedures and adhere to safety regulations, including the correct use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Your responsibilities will also include optimizing warehouse layout, managing resources, and ensuring the timely dispatch of goods. Experience in a leadership role within a warehouse setting is strongly preferred. The nature of the job involves some physical demands, including the ability to perform lifting tasks. Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily warehouse operations, ensuring efficiency and accuracy.
- Manage inventory levels and conduct regular cycle counts.
- Coordinate the flow of goods between receiving, storage, and shipping.
- Supervise and guide warehouse staff, providing training and support.
- Ensure all safety protocols are followed, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Monitor and improve warehouse layout and workflow.
- Liaise with logistics providers and other departments to ensure smooth operations.
- Maintain accurate records of inventory and shipments.
- Address and resolve operational issues as they arise.
- Perform lifting and moving of materials as required.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree in Logistics or a related field is a plus.
- Proven experience in warehouse coordination or management.
- Strong understanding of warehouse operations, inventory control, and logistics.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in warehouse management software.
- Knowledge of safety procedures and the proper use of PPE.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
