About
Design, implement and maintain cloud infrastructure on AWS, Azure and private clouds.
Deploy, scale and manage Kubernetes clusters. Familiarity with Docker and Helm.
Develop and implement automated tools and processes for building, deployment, monitoring, testing and maintenance of infrastructure and applications.
Develop and maintain policies and procedures for security, compliance and disaster recovery.
Optimise infrastructure for high availability, fault tolerance and cost efficiency.
Continuously monitor and improve infrastructure and application performance.
Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure and application issues.
Manage and mentor junior DevOps engineers.
The Fit The ideal candidate is a self‑motivated, multi‑tasker with strong team‑player skills. You will have
Experience in a DevOps‐focused role and a track record of delivering secure, scalable software.
Proficiency with cloud technologies and building highly available shared solutions.
Hands‑on knowledge of Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform, Vault and related tooling.
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines in Agile environments (Scrum, Kanban, GitLab or Jenkins).
Excellent communication and leadership for working with high‑level stakeholders.
Exposure to serverless, Elastic Stack, Prometheus, Grafana and Artifactory/Nexus.
Security Clearance Due to the nature of the sector, this role prefers applicants holding high‑level security clearance. To qualify you must be a British passport holder and have lived permanently in the UK for the last five years.
Office Location This position is office based 4–5 days per week from Cheltenham, Bristol or Manchester.
