This full-time, permanent role is ideal for someone who enjoys bringing clarity and technical accuracy to complex electrical designs across commercial and public-sector buildings. Their approach is hands-on, team-focused, and design-led — meaning you\'ll be surrounded by professionals who value your expertise and contribution at every stage of a project. What You\'ll Be Doing
Producing electrical designs from concept through to construction stage Coordinating with internal teams, contractors, and consultants to develop clear, buildable solutions Reviewing specifications, drawings, and client requirements Undertaking calculations, lighting designs, cable sizing, and distribution layouts Supporting tender and construction documentation Liaising with pre-construction, estimating, and site delivery teams Conducting site visits as needed to assess design integration and buildability Assisting junior design staff and contributing to continuous design improvement Skills & Experience Required
Strong background in electrical building services design Experience working for a contractor or consultancy on commercial and public sector projects Proficiency in relevant design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Amtech, Dialux, Relux) Excellent communication and coordination skills Knowledge of current building regs and BS 7671 wiring regulations Ability to manage workload across multiple projects Relevant qualifications in Electrical Engineering or Building Services Benefits
