Overview
LABUR is supporting a client through a strategic transformation initiative focused on evolving their operating model and optimizing portfolio workflows across the investment lifecycle. As part of this effort, the client is engaging a Techno-Functional Analyst with deep expertise in Charles River Development (CRD) to help streamline platform capabilities and enable a leaner, more scalable investment environment. This engagement requires hands-on experience with CRD technical implementation, Alpha conversions, and workflow configuration, alongside a strong understanding of investment technology, data and analytics, and middle office outsourcing.

Responsibilities

  • Lead CRD workflow configuration aligned to business needs and system capabilities.
  • Partner with investment teams, compliance, and trading to understand current-state workflows and translate them into CRD-native processes.
  • Support the large scale transformation initiative, ensuring seamless integration and data flow across systems.
  • Collaborate with quant teams to align compliance and analytics requirements within CRD.
  • Drive portfolio optimization efforts and support distribution expansion, particularly on the SMA side.
  • Act as a bridge between business and technology, ensuring engagement and momentum throughout the consulting burst.
  • Provide CRD consulting expertise, ideally from prior experience at CRD or similar Alpha conversion projects.
  • Navigate product complexity across equities, fixed income, and limited derivatives, all within a unified investment platform.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience with Charles River Development (CRD), including technical implementation and workflow configuration.
  • Prior involvement in Alpha conversions, ideally with large scale transformations.
  • Strong understanding of investment operations, portfolio management, and middle office outsourcing.
  • Ability to work across business and IT teams, including compliance, trading, and quant functions.
  • Experience with lean operating models and consulting bursts.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage timelines in a fast-paced environment.

Compensation
$60 - $75 per hour - Dependent on fit and experience.
