Controller – Xtreme Trucking

Xtreme Trucking is growing—and we're looking for a hands-on, business-minded Controller to help us scale profitably and intelligently.

This role is ideal for a strong Controller who loves owning the numbers, improving financial clarity, and partnering with operations, without needing to be the company CFO. You'll work closely with our leadership team and report to our external CPA, serving as the internal financial quarterback for day-to-day execution, insight, and accountability, sitting in our leadership team.

What You'll Own

• Monthly Financial Close & Reporting

Accurate, timely financials with clear variance explanations leadership can act on.

• Budgeting, Forecasting & Cash Flow Visibility

Build rolling forecasts, monitor liquidity, and highlight risks before they show up.

• Operational Finance Partnership

Work alongside operations and maintenance leaders to improve margins, cost control, and ROI.

• Data & Dashboards

Turn financial data into visual, decision-ready tools using Excel and Power BI.

• Accounting Discipline & Controls

Maintain clean books, strong processes, and audit-ready documentation in coordination with our CPA.

• AP/AR & Payroll Oversight

Ensure efficiency, accuracy, and accountability across transactional functions.

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA or CPA-track a plus)
• 5+ years in progressive accounting roles, including Controller-level responsibility
• Experience in multi-location, asset-heavy, or operational businesses (transportation experience a plus, not required)
• Strong Excel skills; Power BI or dashboard experience highly preferred
• Practical, disciplined, and improvement-oriented mindset
• Comfortable working in a growing company where structure is built—not inherited
• Task automation a PLUS
