Job Overview

We are looking for a hands-on Electrical Maintenance Engineer who thrives in the field and enjoys working directly with tools and equipment. This is not a desk job, it's a physically active role where you'll be assembling, maintaining, and troubleshooting high-tech drilling tools used in directional coiled tubing drilling (DCTD) operations. You will have a direct impact on the reliability and quality of our service including through working with engineering design.

Note: This position requires international travel for up to 3–6 weeks per project, with appropriate time off provided between assignments.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Work directly with tools: Assemble, disassemble, and maintain downhole and surface equipment.
  • Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and software systems in real-world field conditions.
  • Perform fault finding on bottom hole assemblies (BHA) and wireline tools.
  • Suggest improvements to tool design and maintenance systems.
  • Generate maintenance reports and manage tool inventory.
  • Participate in technical training and support onboarding of new engineers.
  • Use enterprise systems such as Acumatica and Innovator.
  • Contribute to post-job performance analysis and continuous improvement.

Who We're Looking For

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or related Engineering field.
  • Hands-on experience with electrical and mechanical systems (internships or academic projects welcome).
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Valid passport and willingness to travel internationally.

Preferred:

  • Experience in the oil and gas industry.
