Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have experience in food preparation and cooking, with a passion for delivering high-quality dishes in a fast-paced environment. This role involves preparing ingredients, cooking menu items, and ensuring food safety standards are maintained. Duties
- Prepare and assemble ingredients according to menu specifications and recipes
- Cook various dishes with attention to presentation and quality standards
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including proper food handling and storage
- Follow food safety regulations and proper hygiene practices at all times
- Support catering events and special functions as needed
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including knives and other utensils
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service during busy hours
- Monitor inventory levels and communicate supply needs to management
Skills
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or culinary roles, preferably in a restaurant
- Strong knife skills and proficiency in meal preparation techniques
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Experience with menu planning, catering, or food service operations is a plus
- Familiarity with dietary department procedures or dietary aide experience is advantageous
- Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
- Prior restaurant or food industry experience is required
