Overview:

As a School Age Classroom Leader, you'll play a crucial role in developing a teaching team, coordinating curriculum, and managing day-to-day classroom activities. Your understanding of child development will contribute to shaping a safe, engaging, and successful learning environment.

Employment Type:

Part-Time & Full-time, including coverage during public school breaks in summer, winter, and spring.

Ideal Candidate:

The ideal candidate is flexibly able to support the after-school care of our school-age students and is willing to cover school-age camps during summer, winter, and spring breaks, requiring full-time hours during those periods.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate an educational school-age program.
• Plan activities for social, physical, cognitive, and emotional growth.
• Assist with children's homework.
• Maintain communication with parents.
• Ensure a healthy classroom environment.
• Lead and coach the school-age team.
• Supervise assistants and volunteers.
• Ensure compliance with regulations.
• Maintain accurate records and files.
• Develop professional development plans.

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of professional education experience.
• Strong communication and computer skills.
• High energy with collaborative abilities.
• Understanding of child development.
• Excellent leadership and organizational skills.
• Infant/child CPR and First Aid certification.
• Clear background check and health screening.

Education:

• Preferred: Associate's Degree in education or related field.
• High School Diploma.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to walk, handle objects, kneel, bend, or crawl.

• Specific vision abilities.
