This role is pivotal in supporting our fabrication shop by providing precise and high-quality fabrication drawings. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical expertise and proficiency in Autodesk Inventor.

This position will work closely with the Mechanical Design and Manufacturing Lead to bring innovative ideas to life. This role comes with a competitive compensation plan and as well as excellent benefits.

Mechanical Design Engineer Responsibilities:

  • Create new designs for skidded process systems.
  • Develop detailed fabrication drawings for mechanical components and assemblies using Autodesk Inventor.
  • Collaborate with the Mechanical Design and Manufacturing Lead to ensure drawings are optimized for manufacturability and adhere to industry standards.
  • Support the fabrication team by reviewing designs and making necessary adjustments to meet project specifications.
  • Participate in design reviews and help resolve issues that arise during the fabrication process.
  • Maintain and update the CAD library for mechanical components and assemblies.
  • Ensure all designs meet company and client specifications, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Work with cross-functional teams including engineering, project management, and fabrication to ensure smooth communication and project execution.

Requirements For The Mechanical Design Engineer

  • Mechanical expertise with a focus on manufacturing and fabrication.
  • Proficiency in Autodesk Inventor or other 3D CAD software.
  • Candidates with 5-7 years of experience in mechanical design.
  • Understanding of fabrication processes (machining, welding, assembly).
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and within a collaborative team environment.
  • Excellent communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • All candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
