Responsibilities for the Dietary Aide/Server

• Assist with food preparation and meal assembly according to dietary guidelines and safety standards
• Serve meals to residents in a courteous and timely manner
• Ensure proper food handling, sanitation, and cleanliness of all kitchen and dining areas
• Buss tables, clean dining areas, and assist with general kitchen sanitation tasks
• Follow proper food safety procedures during meal service and food storage
• Support dietary staff with inventory management and restocking supplies as needed
• Adhere to all health regulations and safety protocols to maintain a safe environment for residents and staff
• Provide excellent customer service by addressing resident needs courteously and professionally
• Assist with meal planning and dietary documentation as required by the department

Experience for the Dietary Aide/Server

• Prior experience in assisted living, nursing home, hospital, or food industry settings is preferred
• Culinary experience or background in food production is advantageous
• Knowledge of food handling, sanitation, and safety standards is essential
• Experience in dietary departments or as a dietary aide is a plus
• Strong time management skills to efficiently handle meal service during busy hours
• Familiarity with serving, bussing, cleaning, and basic kitchen operations is beneficial
• Previous roles involving food preparation, cooking, or dietetics will support success in this position
