Security Officer

Job Summary
We are seeking a vigilant and dedicated Security Officer to ensure the safety and security of our premises, personnel, and assets. The ideal candidate will be responsible for monitoring activities, enforcing safety protocols, and responding promptly to incidents. This role requires a professional with strong conflict management skills, attention to detail, and the ability to operate surveillance equipment effectively. Prior experience in law enforcement, military service, or security is highly valued. The Security Officer plays a critical role in maintaining a secure environment and preventing loss or damage. Must have a guard card to proceed to the next step.

Responsibilities

• Monitor security cameras (CCTV) and surveillance systems to detect suspicious activity or security breaches.
• Conduct regular patrols of the premises to ensure safety and security protocols are being followed.
• Respond promptly to alarms, emergencies, or incidents, including medical emergencies requiring first aid or CPR if necessary.
• Enforce access control policies by verifying identification and restricting unauthorized entry.
• Manage conflict situations with professionalism and de-escalation techniques to maintain order.
• Document incidents accurately through detailed reports for future reference and investigations.
• Collaborate with law enforcement or emergency services when required.
• Conduct loss prevention activities by observing and deterring theft or vandalism.
• Assist in training new security personnel on procedures and protocols as needed.

Experience

• Prior experience in law enforcement, military service, or private security is preferred.
• Certification or training in first aid, CPR, and conflict management is highly desirable.
• Experience operating surveillance equipment such as CCTV systems is a plus.
• Demonstrated ability to handle stressful situations calmly and effectively.
• Strong understanding of security procedures, loss prevention techniques, and safety regulations.
