Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Leasing Agent to join our dynamic property management team. In this vital role, you will be the first point of contact for prospective residents, guiding them through the leasing process with enthusiasm and professionalism. Your expertise in property leasing, customer service, and administrative management will ensure a smooth experience for applicants while maintaining compliance with Fair Housing regulations and local landlord-tenant laws. Duties

  • Greet prospective tenants warmly and provide comprehensive tours of available properties, highlighting features and benefits to encourage leasing agreements
  • Manage the entire leasing process, including application review, credit checks, background screening, and lease signing procedures
  • Maintain accurate property and applicant records using Yardi or OneSite property management software, ensuring data entry is precise and up-to-date
  • Assist with rent collection, lease renewals, and processing Section 8 vouchers or LIHTC (Low-Income Housing Tax Credit) programs to support diverse resident needs
  • Handle inquiries via phone, email, and in person with professional phone etiquette and exceptional customer service skills
  • Resolve conflicts or concerns from applicants or residents promptly using conflict management techniques while adhering to Fair Housing regulations
  • Support property maintenance coordination by communicating tenant requests effectively and documenting issues for timely resolution
  • Prepare legal administrative documents such as contracts, notices, and lease amendments in compliance with landlord-tenant law
  • Conduct regular follow-ups with prospects to upsell additional services or amenities that enhance resident satisfaction
  • Assist in filing, organizing legal documents, and maintaining CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) records for operational efficiency

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in property leasing, property management, or real estate administrative roles with a focus on customer service excellence
  • Familiarity with LIHTC programs, Section 8 housing vouchers, Fair Housing regulations, and landlord-tenant law
  • Proficiency in Yardi, OneSite, or similar property management software for data entry and reporting purposes
  • Strong negotiation skills coupled with the ability to manage contracts effectively
  • Office experience demonstrating excellent organizational skills including filing, data entry, and administrative support
  • Knowledge of facilities management principles related to property maintenance coordination
  • Excellent conflict management abilities to handle sensitive situations professionally
  • Effective communication skills with polished phone etiquette and customer relationship management expertise
  • Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail

Hours

Tuesday-Friday 9-5 and Saturday 10-2
