We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to troubleshoot and maintain building systems within our nursing and senior living facility , housed in an older, well-established building. The ideal candidate brings hands-on experience in HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical systems , understands the importance of life-safety in a healthcare environment, and works efficiently while maintaining a high standard of care and professionalism around residents.
You'll join a collaborative facilities team that plays a critical role in resident comfort, safety, and overall quality of life. Your expertise will be valued, your judgment trusted, and your work will have a direct impact every day.
What You Will Do:
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical systems throughout a nursing building
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance in an older facility with aging infrastructure
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests, prioritizing resident safety and comfort
- Conduct routine inspections to identify potential issues before they escalate
- Repair and maintain building systems, fixtures, and equipment with efficiency and attention to detail
- Work closely with nursing, housekeeping, and leadership teams to minimize disruption to resident care
- Ensure compliance with life safety codes, healthcare regulations, and facility policies
- Accurately document work orders, repairs, and inspections
- Participate in on-call rotation and respond to maintenance emergencies as needed
What You Will Bring:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Proven maintenance experience in senior living, nursing homes, hospitals, or similar healthcare environments
- 2-3 year's experience of HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical systems
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex maintenance issues independently
- Experience working in older buildings with legacy systems preferred
- Detail-oriented, efficient, and dependable
- Ability to work professionally and respectfully around residents and care staff
- Relevant technical certifications or trade training preferred
