Job Summary:
We are seeking a friendly, energetic, and reliable Retail Sales Associate to join our team. In this role, you will be at the front of our store, helping customers find the best products for their pets, assisting with grooming appointments, and maintaining a clean, welcoming environment. You'll be an essential part of our mission to provide top-tier care and service to pets and their owners.

Key Responsibilities:

• Greet customers and their pets and assist in making personalized recommendations for foods, treats and other supplies to fulfill their pets needs
• Learn and apply pet nutrition knowledge and pet product knowledge to guide pet parents to proper products for the best health of their pet
• Provide accurate information on pet food, supplies, and grooming services
• Schedule grooming appointments and communicate grooming policies
• Generate customer loyalty and retail sales through great customer service
• Establish and maintain customer relationships providing solid advice, quality follow-up and ongoing support for customers
• Maintain clean and organized shelves, displays, and checkout area
• Operate the POS system to process sales, returns, and exchanges
• Restock inventory and assist with merchandising
• Comply with merchandising standards, housekeeping, inventory management and point of sale policies; coordinate with management to make sure products are always stocked
• Communicates insights/ideas to manager to help our furry friends and their people
• Monitor and maintain store cleanliness
• Support groomers with check-ins and check-outs when needed
• Adhere to all safety and animal welfare guidelines

Qualifications:

• Must love animals and have a passion for making a difference in their lives by keeping them happy and healthy
• Comfortable handling pets of all sizes and temperaments
• Retail sales experience and knowledge of pet care products a plus
• Skilled at customer service assessing customer needs and sharing product features and benefits
• Skilled at communication and strong interpersonal skills
• Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
• Strong time management and organizational skills
• Skilled at math and able to work a POS system and draw closing
• Able to lift up to 30 lbs
• Must conduct yourself in a professional manner
• Reliable, prompt, kind and friendly
• Must be able to work weekends
