Join our thriving logistics hub in Boston, Massachusetts as a Shipping & Receiving Associate! We are looking for motivated individuals to manage the seamless flow of goods in and out of our facility. This multifaceted role involves both the meticulous handling of incoming shipments and the efficient preparation of outgoing orders. You will be responsible for unloading trucks, verifying manifests, inspecting inventory, and accurately processing all receipts into our system. Concurrently, you will pick, pack, and stage orders for shipment, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. A strong understanding of warehouse operations, inventory control, and a commitment to safety are paramount. This position requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. You will be an integral part of our supply chain, contributing directly to our ability to meet customer demands and maintain operational excellence. Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and inspect incoming shipments, verifying against packing lists and purchase orders.
- Accurately document all received goods into the inventory management system.
- Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment with accuracy and efficiency.
- Stage outgoing shipments for carrier pickup, ensuring proper labeling and documentation.
- Conduct regular inventory counts and assist with cycle counting procedures.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.
- Operate warehouse equipment (e.g., pallet jacks, forklifts - if trained and certified) safely and efficiently.
- Adhere to all company safety regulations, including the mandatory use of PPE, and participate in safety training.
- Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and external partners.
- Support overall warehouse logistics and continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Proven experience in a shipping, receiving, or warehouse environment.
- Proficiency with inventory management software and basic computer skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in order fulfillment.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including frequent lifting of up to 50 lbs, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Strong understanding of logistics operations and warehouse safety practices.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Commitment to wearing required PPE at all times.
- Good communication and problem-solving skills.
- Forklift certification is a plus.
