About
Our Seattle, Washington location is seeking an industrious Material Handler to support our warehouse operations. You will be instrumental in the smooth movement and organization of goods, contributing to the efficiency of our logistics network. This role involves handling a variety of materials, ensuring they are properly stored, retrieved, and prepared for shipment. We are looking for individuals who are safety-conscious, reliable, and possess a strong work ethic. Your contributions will be vital to maintaining inventory accuracy and supporting our operational goals.
Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and inspect incoming shipments, verifying quantities and quality.
- Move materials throughout the warehouse using appropriate equipment, such as pallet jacks, hand trucks, and forklifts (certification required for forklift operation).
- Organize and store materials in designated inventory locations, ensuring proper labeling and accessibility.
- Pick and stage materials for outgoing shipments according to order requirements.
- Conduct regular inventory checks and cycle counts to maintain accuracy.
- Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe work environment, adhering to all safety guidelines.
- Comply with company policies and procedures related to material handling and warehouse logistics.
- Safely operate material handling equipment, ensuring proper maintenance and reporting any issues.
- Follow all directives regarding the use of PPE.
- Assist with general warehouse tasks and provide support for other team members as needed, including moderate Lifting.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Prior experience in a warehouse, distribution center, or material handling role is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in operating pallet jacks and hand trucks.
- Experience with forklift operation and relevant certifications are a strong asset.
- A solid understanding of warehouse safety standards and the mandatory use of PPE.
- Capability to perform physical tasks, including frequent Lifting of up to 50 lbs.
- Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team setting.
- Familiarity with Logistics principles and inventory management concepts.
