Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and certified Forklift Operator to join our busy logistics facility in Indianapolis, Indiana. In this role, you will be responsible for operating forklifts and other powered industrial trucks to move, load, unload, and stack materials within our warehouse. Your primary focus will be on ensuring the safe and efficient handling of goods, maintaining accurate inventory placement, and supporting various warehouse operations. This position requires a proven track record of safe operation, adherence to safety regulations, and a strong understanding of warehouse logistics. You will be expected to conduct pre-operation inspections of equipment, report any mechanical issues, and maintain a clean and organized work area. The safety of our team is paramount, so the strict use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to all safety protocols, including safe lifting practices, is mandatory. The ideal candidate is a reliable, safety-conscious individual with excellent hand-eye coordination and the ability to work in a physically demanding environment.   • Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other powered equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Load and unload materials from trucks and trailers.
  • Move materials to and from designated storage areas within the warehouse.
  • Stack and arrange materials in a safe and organized manner.
  • Perform daily pre-operation inspections of forklifts and report any maintenance needs.
  • Assist with inventory management tasks, including put-away and retrieval.
  • Follow all safety regulations and company policies, including mandatory use of PPE.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly work environment.
  • Support shipping and receiving operations as needed.
  • Contribute to the overall efficiency of the logistics team.
  • Participate in training sessions to enhance skills and safety knowledge.
