In this vital role, you will be involved in numerous aspects of our warehouse operations, including receiving, storing, picking, packing, and shipping goods. Your contributions are essential to the efficient functioning of our logistics network. You will ensure that inventory is managed accurately and that orders are processed with speed and precision. Operating various warehouse equipment, such as pallet jacks and potentially forklifts, will be part of your responsibilities. Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment is paramount. Responsibilities:
- Receive, inspect, and store incoming inventory.
- Pick, pack, and prepare customer orders for shipment.
- Operate warehouse equipment, including pallet jacks and forklifts (certification/training may be provided).
- Maintain accurate inventory records through proper handling and scanning.
- Ensure the warehouse is clean, organized, and free of hazards.
- Assist in loading and unloading trucks efficiently.
- Follow all safety guidelines and procedures, including the proper use of PPE.
- Collaborate with supervisors and colleagues to meet operational targets.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the logistics department.
- Participate in regular inventory counts and cycle counts.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a warehouse or distribution environment is highly preferred.
- Ability to perform significant lifting, up to 60 pounds, regularly and repetitively.
- Familiarity with warehouse operations and logistics procedures.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to work in a physically demanding role, including standing, walking, and bending for extended periods.
- Understanding of safety best practices and the importance of wearing PPE.
- Team player with good communication skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Must be reliable and punctual.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including occasional overtime.
