Join our fast-paced warehouse team in Detroit, Michigan as a Picker/Packer! We are looking for energetic and reliable individuals to accurately pick customer orders and prepare them for shipment. This role is essential to our logistics operations, ensuring that our customers receive the correct items in a timely manner. You will be responsible for navigating the warehouse, locating products using pick lists or scanning devices, and carefully packing items to prevent damage during transit. Maintaining a clean and organized workspace is also a key part of this position. Safety is our top priority, and adherence to all safety protocols, including the correct use of PPE, is mandatory. This position involves frequent standing, walking, and the ability to perform lifting of items up to 50 lbs. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from warehouse shelves according to order specifications.
- Pack orders carefully and securely for shipment, ensuring product protection.
- Verify order accuracy before and after picking/packing.
- Operate scanning equipment to track inventory movement.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including proper use of PPE.
- Meet established productivity and quality standards.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as assigned.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns immediately.
- Contribute to a positive and collaborative team atmosphere.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or fulfillment environment preferred.
- Ability to read and understand pick lists and product labels.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to perform lifting of items up to 50 lbs repetitively.
- Comfortable standing and walking for extended periods.
- Knowledge of logistics and warehouse operations is beneficial.
- Willingness to follow safety guidelines and wear required PPE.
- Good communication skills.
- Team-oriented and reliable.
