We are seeking a certified Forklift Operator to join our busy logistics team in San Francisco, California! As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for moving, locating, relocating, stacking, and counting merchandise. Responsibilities:
- Safely operate various types of forklifts (e.g., sit-down, stand-up, reach trucks) to move pallets of goods within the warehouse.
- Load and unload trucks and trailers with accuracy and efficiency.
- Transport materials to and from designated storage areas, production lines, or shipping platforms.
- Perform pre-operation checks on forklifts to ensure they are in good working condition and report any issues immediately.
- Accurately stack and store merchandise in designated locations, ensuring stability and safety.
- Assist with inventory management tasks, including cycle counts and verifying quantities.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring compliance with all safety regulations.
- Strictly adhere to all safety protocols and procedures, including wearing appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as hard hats, safety glasses, steel-toed boots, and high-visibility vests at all times.
- Follow all company policies and procedures related to warehouse operations and logistics.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and timely order fulfillment.
- Adhere to all lifting guidelines and safe material handling practices.
Qualifications:
- Valid forklift operator certification is mandatory.
- Proven experience as a forklift operator, preferably in a logistics or warehouse setting.
- Excellent knowledge of warehouse operations and safety procedures.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform other physical tasks as needed.
- Strong attention to detail and good numerical accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a demanding environment.
- Must be reliable, punctual, and possess a strong work ethic.
- Familiarity with inventory control systems is a plus.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment and consistent use of PPE.
