Position Summary

We are looking for a passionate, hands-on Store Manager to lead our new Baltimore location. The Store Manager will oversee all aspects of operations, including team leadership, guest experience, technical excellence, and financial performance. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced leader who thrives in dynamic, fast-paced entertainment or hospitality environments and is excited to help launch a brand-new attraction.

Responsibilities

Guest Experience

• Lead the team to deliver an exceptional, immersive, and fun experience for every guest.
• Maintain Sandbox VR's high standards of hospitality, safety, and presentation.
• Handle guest feedback with professionalism and ensure positive resolution.

Operations & Profitability

• Manage daily operations to ensure efficiency, consistency, and profitability.
• Track key performance indicators (KPIs), manage labor costs, and optimize scheduling.
• Collaborate with corporate leadership to execute local marketing initiatives and drive revenue.

Team Leadership

• Recruit, train, and develop an engaged, high-performing team.
• Foster a positive and inclusive work environment built on teamwork and accountability.
• Conduct regular performance check-ins and coaching sessions to ensure team success.

Technical & Facility Management

• Oversee VR equipment setup, functionality, and troubleshooting to ensure seamless guest experiences.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe facility that reflects our premium brand standards.
• Manage inventory and ensure proper cash handling and reporting procedures.

Safety & Compliance

• Enforce safety and security standards for both guests and staff.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and all local, state, and federal regulations.

Qualifications

• Experience: 3–5 years of management experience in retail, entertainment, or hospitality.
• Education: Bachelor's degree preferred, or equivalent leadership experience.
• Leadership: Proven ability to motivate and coach diverse teams in a fast-paced environment.
• Customer Service: Passion for creating memorable guest experiences and leading by example.
• Business Acumen: Understanding of P&L, budgeting, staffing, and operational efficiency.
• Technical Skills: Comfortable with basic IT and troubleshooting equipment issues.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to stand or walk for extended periods and occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.

Employment Type: Full Time

Compensation:

• $58,000 - $63,000 annual base salary, plus bonus
• Benefits: health, dental, 401(k)match
• PTO
